EXAMPLES OF MY WORK
Completed in August 2024 as part of an IMLS grant.
Archive final project, made with Wix for LIS 646 & 647. This archive project provided me with vital experience in organizing, arranging, and describing an archival collection. Additionally, as this was a project I revisted in LIS 647, I learned how to maintain, update, and integrate additonal material to an existing archive collection. This project also included several tech requirements, from website creation, to videos and social media posts, and program development, which gave me the full experience of arranging, maintaining, and advocating for an archive. This practical learning experience will be one of the most helpful for me in my career as an archivist.
A blog, orignally titled "Adventures In Archival Digitization" and was at first about digitization in archives, made with Wix for LIS 557. It has since morphed into a place for me to chronicle various courses along my MLIS journey. I discussed my experiences in documentary preservation for LIS 649 and continue to write about my experiences in my Archival Practicum for LIS 648. In the future, I hope to use this blog as a journal for my study abroad program in LIS 580. Overall, the orignal blog project has been a great opportunity for me to develop my skills in digital content creation, website management, and communication via storytelling, which are all crucial skills for future work in digital archives.
A pathfinder for historical Colorado house research, made with Wix for LIS 501. This pathfinder, or lib-guide, project was a helpful way to apply what I learned about reference resources in 501. This user-friendly guide provides researchers with helpful reference resources, which increases access to information. Additionally, this guide has been specifically helpful for me in my professional career in community archive.

A brief tutorial on photo editing software Capture One for LIS 557. Creating a video tutorial on a digitization/photo editing software was a great way to learn both the technical skills required to create and edit an video, but also how to teach others in a virtual setting. It helped me figure out how to explain complex steps in a clear and simple way. This project also gave me a better understanding of the tools I’ll use to support digitization in my future library and archive work.
Link to all of PPLD's digitized oral histories, includes Service Learning project for LIS 645. For my Service Learning Project in LIS 645, I worked on digitally preserving 2 oral histories within the Urban Renewal collection from the 1970's, and included enhancing the digitized audio, creating exact transcripts, generating metadata, and digitizing supporting documents, and ingesting all of this material into PPLD's Digital Collections for public accessibility. In this project, I learned preservation techniques for archival material I had not worked with before in both my academic and professional careetr, and was able to create accessiblity for materials that were previously inaccessible.
