Today we had a quick coffee house chat in which we touched base on what we had done so far, and afterwards we went out as a group for a walking tour on print culture and the Cecil Court bookshops. This tour didn't feel as well practiced as our London Fire walking tour, but it was still enjoyable to walk around the city and learn about various bookseller history. Overall, I did feel like the topic of books for librarians was a bit overdone at this point, especially because we all know that librarianship is so much more than books, but the tour was still beneficial for me as someone interested in history. I did enjoy this tour, but I think the day would have been better with some time spent touring one of the public library branches.
